This is one of the meals I make when I need something really easy and totally no brainer.
Cook about 8 oz pasta, I normally do penne
While that is cooking:
-Heat some olive oil and once it is hot, add onion, garlic, italian seasoning, and basil. Infuse the spices by cooking them in the oil for about 30 seconds
-Add 14 oz (this is the size it comes in when I buy it) smoked sausage, cut in bite sized pieces
-Add 1-2 green pepper, cut in slices
-Cook with the lid on (or your house will smell like onions) until the peppers are cooked through and the sausage is warm
-Add about 1/2 a jar of your favorite red pasta sauce (I have been buying Prego and have been happy with that) and heat through
-Taste the concoction. I always think it needs salt and pepper.
-Mix in the pasta
-Eat
