Apple Crisp

I am pretty sure we got this recipe from the Lion House Cookbook, but I don't know for sure.

Topping:
1 cup butter, cold (I grated the butter to facilitate mixing it in and it was way easier and way faster than trying to use two forks)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Mix until butter is broken up and ingredients are mixed, this should be crumbly

Filling (these proportions change for me pretty much every time I make it):
3-6 cups of apples peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 ish tablespoon of lemon juice

Place apples in a 9x13 and sprinkle with the topping

Bake 350 for 45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the apples are cooked

Serve warm or cold.  Plain or with ice cream.  This also freezes in individual portions well.
